Ideas for Those Who Need Money

I get a lot of people saying to me, “I need money.” I wish I could help all the moms who say this to me. With the economy in a rut and little money to go around, millions of moms are probably saying to themselves “I need money.”
The answer to this is by thinking for a while on what you can offer people online. Just say to yourself I need money and I can … which is a service that someone may be willing to pay for. What fills in the blank?
I can write:
There are many writing jobs available online. Mostly you’ll be writing blog content. SEO is important to learn and you may want to brush up on your SEO skills if you feel you do not know enough. If you would not like to write content for others, you can start your own blog and throw some ads up and make some money that way. Not many people can make a livable income online, but it can help. Nobody will reject $50 and $25 there! To write for others, I recommend check out Digital Point Forums. Also, read up on how to NOT get scammed, because no matter what you do online, there is always someone that may try to cheat you.
I can market a product/website:
This one is more difficult than writing, but can offer more money. I would stay away from marketing products unless you’ve got Amazon.com links on your blog because it can be very difficult. Marketing a website can also be difficult, but it really depends on what the website is. It can also be difficult to find a job marketing a website and that also depends on what the website is. For example, it’s really easy to get a job marketing a scam, but it’s going to be extremely difficult getting people to use the website. On the other hand it’s going to be extremely difficult to get a job working for Amazon. There are many GPT website that do not have marketers. If you’re looking for a marketing job, I recommend starting there.
I can do graphic design:
There are many bids for jobs all over the place for those who can do graphic design. I’m not saying you’re going to make a ton of money. Most of the buyers cannot pay very much. That being said, if you can do some wonderful graphic design and do it quickly, you can probably make quite a bit. A great place to look is a place like Digital Point Forums or a myspace layouts website. If you are really good, you may want to create a website that showcases your work. This can be a resume of sorts.
I can do research:
If you’re good at research and can do it quickly, there is some work available online, but not a ton. You may be able to team up with an SEO article writer and help them with their work. SEO article writing requires a large amount of research as the writer doesn’t usually get to pick their topic. That being said, you can be the go-to guy/girl for the writer. There is also a company called ChaCha which is a mobile answers service whose guides are paid a set amount per question they answer. This can be a wonderful opportunity for those who can answer/research quickly. Spelling is extremely important for ChaCha and there is little time to use spell check, so spelling skills are a must.
I hope I was able to help some of you who say to yourselves, “I need money.” Hopefully after implementing some of these tips, you can start to say, “I have money.”
Ways to Get Extra Money

If you desperately need money then it can be difficult knowing where to find expert help, so here are some options to consider. A possible place is to request it from family and/or friends but this is not necessarily an option for everyone due to pride or not wanting to tell people you need money. Also they may not have capital to lend.
A possibility may be a credit card or even a store card. These should be a relatively short term option as the costs tend to be extremely high. Even better if you can find a interest free credit card.
There are many types of loan which may be a solution if you need money. A personal loan which is unsecured would mean that you are not risking the house you live in but interest could be extra high. A pay day loan could also be an option but it is only meant for short term lending and interest can be extortionate they are also not highly recommended and controversial. You could consider extending your current borrowing to cover the expense for which you need money but you will have to pay back bigger amounts each month than you are used to. It may be possible to get an auto loan using your vehicle as collateral as an alternative.
If you have set up a Home Equity Line of Credit then you could use this, alternatively you could use a loan that consolidates your debts. However, if you cannot make the monthly payments you will lose your house and very few situations where you need money justify the stress of putting your family home at risk of loss.
You could consider using your savings or investments, selling valuable goods or assets, pawning things like jewelery or trying to get an advance on your pay check from work. You may also be able to work more hours, get a second job, or reduce your outgoings to help your future finances. These may not be options that you have but if you do, it is worth considering whether they will help to eliminate that feeling that you need money, but they may not be good long term solutions. There are also the options of trying a housing agency or charity or asking at your favorite church if they can help out persons who desperately need monetary help. Lastly, you may have policies that you can cash in such as shares, life assurance, a pension fund or annuities. Now these last things are something that you would need to think hard about, as surrendering this sort of asset could cost you a lot in the future and you need to decide if you need money that much to make it worth while. Do some mathematical calculations and work out which options are best for your finances.
Melaleuca Scam

Melaleuca is a company based out of Idaho Falls, Idaho. If you need money, this is something to avoid. While I was away at college my mom got involved with the Melaleuca scam. This was a really scammy company from the get-go, but she did not pick up on it. Anyway, here’s what happened.
My mom called me and told me about these “natural” products that she is buying from this catalog. It sounded kind of interesting to me, I definitely wanted to check out this catalog and see if there is anything that I wanted to buy. Then she asked me if this lady could call me and talk to me about it. When I asked her why, she told me that they just wanted to get my information to send a catalog. The she said, “I don’t know why I just can’t give her your address and they can just send you one…” That was exactly what I was thinking. At this point, I was starting to lose interest in these natural products. If they have a catalog, can’t I just look at it without some weird lady calling me on my cellphone? Anyway, my mom had already given her my phone number. My mom told me she’ll call her and tell her I’m not interested since she’s got to give her permission to call me anyway.
Right after ending the phone call with my mom, this woman called me… so obviously my mom hadn’t even had the chance to dial the woman’s phone number. I was polite, although I really was starting to feel a little wary about these products. She said that she can give me access to the website and send me a catalog and that this is associated with some sort of make money program. She then said that she can get me started. I asked, “Get me started with what?” The way she’d worded it was that she wanted to send me the catalog, but the words “get me started” just sounded fishy. To that she said that if I go through the make money program I can save money since the products will be cheaper. She said that I can also sell the products to my college friends for extra cash to spend on clothing and parties (the woman was obviously trying to talk to me like she “knew me” because I was a college student, when I didn’t identify with this stereotype, which kind of perturbed me.) Anyway, I told her that I wasn’t really sure if I wasn’t going to buy anything because I want to take a look at the catalog first. She then asked me if I buy dish soap, laundry detergent, and shampoo. I said yes. She said that I would definitely buy from this catalog because everything in it will replace things I already buy. This really angered me because I mean what is it of her business what brands I buy and why is there an assumption that all I’m going to buy is the Melaleuca stuff. Furthermore, what made her think I would buy into some sort of program without even using the product? I said no. She was persistent, but at this point I really had no more patience for this stuff. I said I’ll think it over and call her back because she really gave me no other option out of the conversation.
My mom was really hurt that this woman called everyone on her “warm list” which is a list of people she was told to make of people she is close to. I have to admit it was kind of dumb of my mom to give her this information, but it was unethical of this woman to lie to my mom about what she was calling about and lie to her about waiting for my mom’s permission to call these people. My sister-in-law was on my mom’s “warm list” and from what I hear, she wasn’t as nice on the phone as I was, which kind of made me a bit happy about the whole situation.
A couple of weeks later my dad and I convinced my mom that this was a scam and that she should cancel. She was paying a monthly fee to be a part of this monthly scam. At this point I had tried the products at my mom’s house and I didn’t really care for them. The hair conditioner made my hair feel really gummy.
My mom called the Melaleuca scam people and they told her she had to send a written and signed statement that she wanted to cancel. My dad made sure that this letter was also notarized and registered so they couldn’t pull a fast one. My mom had gotten involved with companies like this before so he knew the drill. Anyway, the next month rolled around and my mom received another charge on her credit card. She called the Melaleuca people again and they told her that it can take a while to go through… sometimes months. My dad immediately got on the phone with the credit card company and filed a chargeback and had their credit card number changed. A few days later my mom received a phone call from the Melaleuca people saying she was bound by some verbal contract she was never told about and that all she needs to do to is give them her credit card number! Yeah right! My mom handed my dad the phone and he told them that they can go ahead and file a lawsuit if they want and if they can furnish proof that my mom agree to a verbal contract, then they will pay it.
This is to kind of serve as a warning to not get involved with this Melaleuca scam. I’ve never been sucked into a scam, but I knew that there are people who get involved with these types of scams quite often. A lot of these people actually need money and this program is designed to look like you’ll make money, but you end up just paying them.
